About
This camping area is on licensed Crown water frontage. It remains public land but has a licence over it that allows the adjoining landowner/farmer to graze stock on it. Your right to access this public land remains intact as the licence does not provide an exclusive right or use by the licensee. Typically camping is prohibited on licensed Crown water frontage. However, some special areas (such as this one) have been set-aside to allow self-sufficient camping. Access for day-use recreational activities such as walking, fishing or bird watching, as for other areas of Crown water frontage areas, are also permitted. Enjoy your time here but please respect the adjoining landholders, their farming operations, and their right to privacy. It is important that visitors take care to use this map and instructions https://www.forestsandreserves.vic.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0030/587253/554c855d611d2bedeec5b77e1d4e4a52a8b187ae.pdf to safely access this area and avoid tresspassing on private property. Please take all your rubbish home with you.
Camping
The camping area is mostly flat, with some open grassy sections and other areas under native forest canopy. This camping area is for self-sufficient campers only. Campfires are not permitted. You must either bring in your own portable toilet (search portable toilets online to see the expansive range of options now available) or use a poo pot to hold your bagged waste to dispose of at home (or if bagged in disposable poo bags, down the nearest toilet). Portable toilets must be at least 50 metres from the waterway (and not on private property). Camping is only permitted in the designated area on this frontage.
