About
This historic fire dam was built in the mid-1940s to provide a reliable water supply following the disastrous 1939 bushfires. The site is adjacent to the East Gippsland Rail Trail, just west of the iconic Stony Creek Trestle Bridge, and provides a quiet spot for a picnic or overnight stay.
Camping
This site provides enough room for a small campsite and is accompanied by a wood-fired BBQ / fire pit and a picnic table.
